Feel free to throw just about any grain, dried fruit or even chocolate into these fast, easy and delicious bars. Just be careful adding anything too sugary. The condensed milk is sweet enough.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup muesli (or any combination of oats, seeds, dried fruits or grains; heck, your favorite cereal might work in a pinch)
- 1 cup pecans (or walnuts or whatever)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened (or coconut oil, if you prefer)
- 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
- optional: chocolate nibs or chips, to taste
Directions:
- Heat oven to 250 degrees
- Grease 9x12ish baking pan
- Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl
- Press mixed ingredients into baking pan with spatula
- Bake for an hour
- Let cool completely and cut into squares
- Seal in airtight container under lock and key so the kids and hubbies don’t eat them all before dinner
